View Full Version : Free pattern for sleeveless top

A year or so ago I came across a free pattern for a woman's sleeveless top (or tank top). What I can remember is that the photo was very elegant, and the website looked attractive and professional. I seem to remember a soft green colour scheme but don't know if that's the colour of the top, just the photo in general, or even the background colour of the web page!

Anyway, I've looked through the free patterns linked from knittinghelp, but it's not one of those. I don't suppose this rings a bell with anyone?

That doesn't ring a bell for me. Can you tell us more about what the top itself looked like?

Yeah I didn't really think that description was very adequate, but my memory is pretty hazy. I know there were quite a few free patterns on the site. The sleeveless top was quite drapey, simple, round neck I think, mostly if not all stocking stitch. Maybe I should just keep searching.

Here are some sites that have lots of free patterns.

Just put some info in on the left (ladies and tank or sleeveless) brings up a bunch.

Hmmm, the magknits site seems to have gone. Maybe it was there.

Well I searched all the Magknits patterns on Ravelry, and it wasn't any of them. It wasn't at drops design, berrocco, knitty...

The only other thing I remember is the photo was taken indoors, and the model had dark, smooth, straight hair to at least shoulder length, maybe longer.

Have you looked through the patterns at elann.com? If it was last year, it might not still be up though...

Have you tried Knitting Daily? Or maybe you could just scan the tank patterns on Ravelry?

Could it be THIS (http://www.berroco.com/ng2/ng2_pleat_pv.html)?

Was it a Marnie MacLean pattern?

Wow! Thanks for all the suggestions, everyone. I haven't found it yet, and like suzeeq says, it may well have gone from the web (it was more likely two years ago). cdjack, I started going through the patterns on Ravelry, but haven't got through them all yet.

You can probably find something similar or maybe even something you love even more! My Rav queue and favorites list is filling up with stuff that I'll have to live forever in order to finish! :roflhard:
