I felted this sweater a bit too much in the wash, so it didn't fit. But it had great buttons, and I loved the pattern on it. So, inspired by some ravelry groups, I decided to make it a bag.
Here is the sweater:

And here is the fo bag

It took a bit of sitting and looking at how the pieces were together and cutting apart and sitting more and figuring it out, but I think the result is pretty decent.
Thanks for looking!:waving:

What a great idea. Sure beats tossing the sweater, and it came out really nice.
It's beautiful! I'm sorry the sweater didn't work out, but the bag is gorgeous. Very creative.

That's a beautiful bag! :yay:I agree it looks like it was meant to be. What a great idea! I have an old sweater that my Gram made that was shrunk in the wash but I could never part with it. I think it might being seeing the light of day as a bag now!

My first thought was holy bleeep she knit that sweater ! Seriously, the design seems so intricate how long did it take you to knit ?
It does looks lovely as a bag but still....it started as a sweater you knit  :notworthy:

Incredible, and what a great idea. Fear I would have fretted and packed the garment away. You had a wonderful idea and the bag is great looking. :yay:
