Well, I'm trying to expand my knitting to more than scarves. I have some beautiful Manos yarn and I'm making a shawl. I wanted an airy "lacey" look even with the heavier yarn so I'm using bigger than normal needles. I'm getting the effect I want but it feels so awkward!! I guess normally I knit pretty tightly and this just feels so strange to me. I keep thinking this isn't going to hold together or it's going to all come apart. Is this normal??? or am I just showing my inexperience??? It will sort of work out okay when I block it, right??

thanks!!

It probably takes some practice to get used to the larger needles. When I use 15s, I find I hold the yarn looser than with 10s. It will be fine once you block it out.
