I've just signed up..... One of my friends is on here (no idea about screen name) and I had been lurking in the shadows for about 5 months (reading but not registered.)
I love knitting, and it is an obsession..... I am no longer stared at by my family when I pull my knitting out of my purse and knit in Home Depot. I love knitting in public (obviously) and have a couple of friends who take their knitting more seriously than me.
I don't know anyone close by who knits, so I signed up on here. I am a member of Knitting Community on knitpicks.com

We just moved to this area (somewhere on earth) and my knitting has not been witnessed by many yet.... ;) It will be funny to see some of the faces when they do.

Welcome to KH. I believe you will find many friends here and all with the same interest - knitting. I know KH has been invaluable to me since I joined. The videos are great, ditto the members, and one can usually find an answer to their knitting problems, among other things too, with the help of the friendly members. Enjoy.

How long have you been knitting KnittinMitchie? I've been knitting (not seriously knitting *knitting*, but fiddleing around with designs i came up with..... Only in the last few years have started getting serious.) for 7 years, and I am just now only feeling strange to pull my knitting out in a store.
I had some strange looks when I was knitting in the McDonalds playplace...... Several munchkins had congregated over my head, and were holding a conference in order to figure out what I was doing. :teehee:
