I may not have ADD in real life, but I definitely have hobby ADD. I have bounced between knitting, graphic design and gaming for the past year. For some reason I cannot be into more than one hobby at a time, so when I started this scarf last September, it was all I wanted to do. Then a week later it was something else.

I finally looped back around and am back into my knitting for the time being, and finished up my argosy scarf.

Pattern : Argosy (http://knitty.com/ISSUEwinter06/PATTargosy.html)
Yarn : Noro Silk Garden Lite
Colour : #2014
Skeins : Two
Comments : Great pattern, easy to memorize, I would recommend it for a lace beginner, as it is not heavily lacy and is not an intimidating pattern to read. If you have sensitive skin I do not recommend the Noro Silk Garden yarn, it is very scratchy to knit with, and while it does soften considerably after washing and blocking, it is definitely not "soft". For me, it softened up enough to just be bearable against my neck, since I loooove the colours so much, this is enough for me to wear it come fall/winter.

The yarn is still gorgeous to look at, and even though it is scratchy to knit with, I didn't find it to be bothersome. Even though it is a smaller weight yarn I found it knit up extremely quickly, and if I ever dropped a stitch, it was never a problem. The texture of the wool kept the dropped stitch from slipping down, so the stitch was always just sitting there waiting for me to go back and get it. A definite plus when doing lace, or if having to frog back.

Picture time!

Thank you!

The colours were my biggest reason for making this scarf. I loved the pattern when I saw it on knitty, but when I scrolled down and saw the pattern knit in Noro, I just HAD to make it.

It's gorgeous!
I find scarves a pain to knit because they're SO long. They seem to take forever and are so repetitive. Always worth it in the end, especially in our country!

I love scarves, but I too find them a pain after a while. Usuaully my scarves get cut short and are just barely long enough to be scarfy. This is my longest scarf to date, being an actual traditional scarf length.

I forgot to mention the yarn knit up VERY quickly. I may have taken a break in between but the time put together was considerably shorter. The wool just gathered length so quick, it was amazing. If only all scarves could knit as quick.

Me too, I have a few projects I am eagerly finishing, and I even made a knitpicks purchase yesterday of some yarn and wire blocking tools.

My knitting bug should last much longer as I don't have much else to do right now... My next video game doesn't come out until December, so I have lots of time for knitting now.
