That was crazy!
But how about seeing a 1000 strand yarn over or, perhaps, some ribbing? ;)
Oh wow that is some knitting. Seriously hard work though

You wouldn't need a trip to the gym for a week following that. Interesting, though.

... but would this work with socks? :roflhard:
You HAVE TO admire the creativity that went into this - and the muscle! Makes my needles, ANY of them, look pretty puny!
Unfortunately for me, we have no trees with branches large enough to make the appropriate size needles, so I guess I'll just have to wing it with the ones I have!
Hats off to the truly dedicated knitter, though!

She goes round the knitting shows in the UK, here's her website --> http://racheljohn.co.uk/default.aspx
I was inspired to start my own stashbusting blanket. I only use 10 strands at a time though!

OMG - that's amazing! What a lot of work for that swatch she made. I will never again complain when I have to make a swatch. :notworthy: :thud:

IMHO it is a massive waste of yarn!
Neat concept though....

I found it when was looking for an extreme afghan pattern, and it's just insane. I have an 8-strander on my lap, and can't see myself going beyond that. It looks like she's wrestling with tree branches and rope. And I wonder if it even made a comfy mattress.
