Just finished this scarf for a birthday gift.
I felted it in a front loader so I wasn't sure how it would turn out but was pleasantly surprised. Where the chestnuts were placed I used raw wool to highlight the area.

Wow, that is a neat scarf!! What is going on with the balls on the edge? How did you make them? They are a surprise and fun.

the balls are where I placed the wild chestnuts. I wrapped each one in raw wool first in complementary colors. The yarn was a verigated PATONS I think??? But as I am in the middle of packing (some of you know I have lived in Slovenia for a year)and the extra yarn is packed up! When I get back to the states I will post the exact yarn.
