I am working on the C3 Cropped Cable Cardigan from Knitty. On the cable chart, there is a "V" between two notations for cables. What does the "V" represent? There are horizontal lines for purls and I assume open boxes for knit stitches, but I cannot decide what this "V" stands for. Can anyone assist me with this?

I couldn't find anything in the directions that defines that 'V' either.

I did notice this in the top paragraphs that describe the sweater:
"..."Just above the bustline, the 9-stitch cable breaks into two 4-stitch Double Gullwing Cables with the center stitch continuing on as a slipped stitch for nice definition."
So I'm guessing the V should be a slipped stitch.
