I would like to knit a tic-tac-toe board as a Christmas gift for a young child. I can't seem to find a pattern anywhere. Does anyone have a good pattern? Or, can you direct me to where I might find one? I found a very nice crochet pattern where it was a bag with a checker board on one side and a tic-tac-toe board on the other, however, I have not been able to find anything to knit.

You could knit the base, just a big square to whatever size you want. Then 'draw' or embroder the lines onto it - chain stitch or even duplicate stitch. Then make the 'x's and 'o's with i-cord. Or make 2 different color mini-pompoms or something like that for the playing pieces.

Here's (http://www.crochetville.org/forum/showthread.php?t=69836) a crochet pattern- I bet you could adapt it if you don't crochet.

Ooooo I'm having visions of 9 mitered-squares in Noro Kureyon stitched together and felted :inlove:
