I'm doing the HAPPY DANCE!! I finished my very first steeking project. This was also my first stranding work. It was actually quite easy and I have already purchased yarn for my next one!! Who knows, I might even get up the nerve to make an ADULT sweater!
The pattern is one from my LYS (I took a class) but it is very similar to many Dale patterns. The yarn is Dale of Norway Falk; 1 skien contrasting color and 4 skeins main color.
It was not nearly as hard as I thought it might be and the advantage of knitting in the round for the entire body totally out weighs the scariness of steeking!
I was going to wait til I had the buttons on to post but I'm so excited I could BUST. I owe a TON of thanks to my instructor Jessica!

Ginny, you are such a fantastic knitter. The sweater looks beautiful, and you should be proud. Any chance of getting a pic of it on a live model?

Beautiful sweater! I'm impressed you overcame that inevitable wave of nausea followed by panic that hits you (or at least hits me) whenever my knitting comes too close to a pair of scissors

It was actually not as hard as I thought it might be. My teacher brought one of her projects in and let us make our first cuts on it. When I finally got to the "cutting stage" of mine I was so excited to do it that I cut away.
