I have some wooden skewers I want to use as double point needles, I also have a needle sizer with the holes in it. So my question is, does the needle pass through the hole of the correct size or just the tip go through the hole? should the needle fit tightly, or move through the hole easily? The needle should slip all the way through the hole. It may be loose or snug depending on the brand of store bought, but it won't fit through the next size up.
