I've almost finished knitting a scarf that is really thick and soft.
I had two balls of yarn - no idea what they are as I got them secondhand but they looked good together, I thought.
So, first I wound the two balls into one ball meaning I now had really thick yarn.
At first I was only going to do garter all the way thru but got tired of it after the first two rows and decided to make up a pattern that would keep me amused... LOL!
I CO 14 sts, did two rows of garter and then two rows of rib - k1,p1.
I was very surprised how nice it looks and how complicated-looking it is. It looks like a grid - the garter is across the width of the scarf and the rib is running along the length.
Very neat...
I'll post a pic when I'm finished.
