My husband made me a couple of these yarn holders out of the plastic cylinders his dremel tools came in. Both ends come off so i can place two balls of yarn in and have them come out separate ends. It works wonderfully!:woohoo:

That's cool! What did he use on the holes to make sure it doesn't frizz or break the yarn?

He just sanded it with the dremmel, and it does not snag at all=)

Great Idea. My DH has a dremel which he has yet to use. Maybe I can make him test it out by making one of those for me.

Oh, now, that is nice of him and a nice yarn holder as well. It will certainly save you from chasing your yarn all over the place or having to unravel a ball....

It really saves me some yarn grief, I have a two year old who loves my yarn. She picks it up and recites a little poem from the cartoon dragon tales (I wish I wish with all my heart to fly with dragons in a land apart), she thinks my yarn is the magic dragon scale that transports the kids to dragon land. I have no idea where she got that idea from. Its cute, but she tangles and pulls my yarn every time, so now that is solved. I gave her her own ball of yarn to play pretend with.

I bought a yarn holder similar to the awesome one your hubby made but I like yours better. Mine only has one hole in the top.. I use a ziploc bag so my two skeins of yarns don't tangle BUT yours is better!!! Way to go Hubby!!!!:cheering:
