Hi there! I'd like to make some BabyLegs for my daughter. I have a friend who knows how to modify socks by re-sewing them and they're adorable, but I would like to try and knit some BL since I'm a knitter, not a sewer. :P

I was thinking of modifying a legwarmer pattern with smaller yarn/needles but I'm not quite sure what to do. I don't want them to be thick and chunky like legwarmers.

Does anyone know of a pattern for this or have any suggestions as far as what kinds of yarn would be good and what size needles?

Thanks in advance! :D

If it's just leg warmers, there should be some patterns at www.knittingpatterncentral.com or www. dailyknitter.com under either baby or children's patterns or the category you'd find legwarmers under. You can take a child's pattern that's done in worsted weight and size 8s and use baby/fingering/sport yarn and size 4 to 6 and that may come out right.
