View Full Version : Urgent prayer request.....
12-18-2008, 12:04 PM
My grandma just had 2 seizures within an hour of each other last night.... This makes a 3 within 6 months, which has never happened before. She used to have them, but up to this year the last time she had one was over 20 years ago.
My great grandma just died (Oct.) and my Gma K. is under tremendous amounts of stress right now. The doctors want to keep her for at least today.... they think she might have had a stroke and that is what is causing the seizures.
My mom and brother just traveled out of state to be with her....
Please pray for my mom too, as her MS is flaring up really badly with all the stress.
I'll be (trying) to update on my blog: http://community.knitpicks.com/profile/TropicFlower

prayers have been said for you and your family, tropicflower. One of the hardest things to do in times like this is the thing we are asked to do the most - waiting. Hang in there, and I hope your knitting is a good therapy tool in your own waiting and praying.

Please pray for my mom.... she just called. She's had 2 hours of sleep, and is driving again. Her MS flared up really badly becuase of all the stress, and now her legs and feet are numb again. :(
yes, I haven't had time to get out my knitting yet today, but as soon as I finish a few chores I'll be knitting and continuing to pray. Knitting helps me calm down and sort through my thoughts.....

I am so so sorry. Your family will definately be in my family's prayers. See if the doctors will do a MRA (it just looks at the arteries in the head instead of everything). An MRA found more potential disasters after my aunt's stroke.

You are all in my prayers.
My Mom had a stroke when she was 40 and another at age 59, plus my grandmother had many strokes in her lifetime, so if that's what she is having, I can relate. Thankfully, there is a lot more technology available to detect and treat them today.
Please keep us updated as you can and stay well yourself.

"Knitting helps me calm down and sort through my thoughts....." Yup, it sure does. I've never found anything else quite like it.
I hope everyone is o.k. very soon. I wish you and your family all the best. :muah:
