I's been a long time since I knit a sweater and even then I'd never heard of circular needles... so now I'm hoping to knit a basic easy sweater - pull-over or cardigan... bulky, not fitted - long sleeved.
I've been looking at the sweater patterns but so far have only found one I thought I might be able to do. Of course I've completely forgotten how to shape shoulders and things like that.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
I want to try 'knitting in the round'... and catch up with the rest of the world LOL! :thumbsup:

The easiest to knit and to size right are top down raglan sweaters. There are pattern generators at www.knittingfool.com and at www.thedietdiary.com/blog You just put in your gauge and the chest/bust size you want and it makes a pattern for you. You can try it on wher you get to dividing the sleeves and see how it's going to fit and adjust by ripping back a few rounds or knitting a few more. Shoulder shaping is done by increasing on diagonal lines from the neck to underarm.
