I love these !!! They are fun to knit.First time with knitting with thread. They are from the book Angels a knitters dozen. You are suppose to put things in their hands like knitting needles and yarn,or what ever you want.I'm giving these to nonknitters so nothing in the hands. I'm gonna check out the craft stores though for things to add to them:teehee:

Forgot to say they are only 3 1/2 inches high, so don't think they would be good for Xmas tree:teehee: Yes Jan they are knit on size 1 needle,I'm starting to go blind using these small needles:doh:
Thanks everyone for your nice comments:hug:

That's a perfect size for an ornament, but not a tree top angel.

:yay: They are very pretty. I don't know that I'd ever be brave enough to try knitting with something that small. You did a beautiful job!

The head and skirt are knit in the round, everything else is knit flat and then you put it in a stiffern let it dry and then sew it together.

Only 3 1/2" tall, I would never have guessed that. So not the top of the tree, but would make great Christmas tree ornaments. :-) They would also be nice to hang in a kitchen window or somewhere to remind the recipient that angels are watching over them. Beautiful work. I've seen crocheted angels, but not knit ones.
