Thanks to this website and other resources on the Net, I made my first pair of socks. Ann Norling's "Adult Basic Sock" pattern (#12) was easy to understand. Also, I used a chunky yarn and bigger needles, which helped me to see the stitches better. They aren't perfect, but at least now I feel more confident about working with sock yarn next time. Thanks to Amy for the video on this site showing how to do the Kitchener Stitch in continental knitting!

They look great!!

Socks aren't really all that hard, Ana. Learn to knit in the round then it'll be a snap.

They sure look PERFECT to me! That was a good idea to start out with a thick yarn for better visual control! I do love tweed yarns, and your red is especially happy looking!!!

Great color! Now that your over the first sock hurdle, it'll just get easier as you work with new patterns and (should I say it) more scrumptious yarns.

Those socks actually look better than my first pair. I ended up doing the kitchener stitch backwards.

I'm pretty sure you'll be fine with smaller needles next time. Look how beautiful these turned out, I can imagine the next pair! ;)

Nice work! Socks scare me :p
They scared me too, but this is really a good, all purpose pattern that is easy to understand and adapt. Now I feel I have earned my set of Knitpicks socks dpns!!! This is so much fun.
