My little sister is attempting to make me this for my b-day (it's today- she's late! But so was her present so there! :heart: )

She is not coming out with the right amount of stitches, and from me looking it over I am not either.

CO 25, then the 1st row (after knitting a row) ends with 27 st on the needles.

Row 2 only needs 25 to do, not 27. What are we doing wrong?

(from the chart- I assume the "you" is a typo for YO)

If you look at the chart for row 2, there's k2, then another symbol which I think is p2tog before the yo twice. That may be the extra 2 sts.

The chart definitely doesn't jive with the written instructions. (ie. no SSK in written instructions but it is in the chart.)

All her dec are written out as k2tog but not charted that way.

On the edge you are dropping the 2nd yo in the k2tog. ( Will give you a bigger hole.)
