Here is what I made in March, it took about the whole month with the planning, knitting, interruptions and everyday life included. :)

I designed this myself, inspired by the acorn buttons I've had in my button stash for some time. The yarn is Phildar Loisirs 139, I don't think they make it anymore. It is fingering weight and I held it doubled throughout. The fiber is 85% acrylic and 15% wool. Machine wash. Very nice stuff.

Here it is lying flat.

The only thing I don't like about it is the way the transition from the textured stitch to the st st curls in. It is worse in the back as you can see from this picture.

I made it for my as yet unborn grandson. But I thought I'd make it big so his big sister could wear it too. She is the model. I think it will fit her better next fall.

Beautiful sweater and love the granddarling! I think you're probably the only one concerned with the transition curling but that's what makes you such a great knitter! Good work!

Wow, that is such a gorgeous pattern. I am always in awe when people make soemthingup themselves, much less something with a picture I can actually tell what it is. LOL It looks great and what a cutie patootie! :cheering:

That is very nice colorwork. Did you steek that cardigan or knit it flat?

Wow! That's a darling sweater! I love the little buttons - you definitely came up with the perfect pattern to show them off. And the baby, she's a darling, too!

Thanks. It is knit back and forth in one piece from the bottom up, then knit the sleeves and add it all together for the yoke. No steek.

As usual, your creation is SUPER WONDERFUL, Judy!!!!
What an adorable little 'model', too! Very well done all around. The slight 'roll' is barely visible. I would not have
noticed it without your comment!

Great work!!!

Ditto on what everyone else has already said. I can follow directions pretty well (most of the time), but creating something like this from my head ... I don't think so. You people simply amaze me. GREAT job on a gorgeous sweater!! And your DGD? Adorable!!! :)
