Everything looks great! That embroidered sweater is adorable!

Thanks about the sweater- but I didn't take pics of the inside of it for a reason! I had NO IDEA what I was doing w/ the embroidery!

That's okay. I don't think most people take picture of the inside of their knitting. :teehee: And embroidery is usually kind of messy on the back so don't worry about it.

Wow, they all look awesome!

I love the colors of the cabled bag, the baby hats are adorable and the finishing on that little sweater makes it soo cute.

Gorgeous, all of it! I especially love the bag. Where did you find the pattern? is it on here?

04-30-2009, 08:35 PM
Here is the pattern for the Quinn bag. (http://www.cogknition.org/patterns/quinn/) I wanted a bigger bag, so I used bulky yarn, Moda Dea Tweedle Dee.

I am printing some of your posts to carry around with me when I am feeling blah!

So many of you are sooo talented. I think the one that has gotten me the most is....

ArtLady (who doesn't know it but I am like :notworthy: every time I look at her stuff) likes my knitting!

Yes, I agree with you about Artlady's stuff. She is so inspirational. But maybe you're catching up, Renee! I enjoyed seeing your bag, sweater, hats. Very nice work!

:aww: Hey guys, you made my day!!

Thanks for the link for the QUINN pattern! It is a very unique bag and I just love it.

What a nice designer: she not only supplied charts for those of us who are CHARTIES, but she also supplied 'words' for those who are WORDIES!

The designer really went out of her way for us!

Thanks again Renee!

Hee hee, I was hoping you would see that post! We both love cables & knotwork designs.

I am probably going to make Quinn again- it was a great pattern to work with. I'll use a solid color yarn next time- but will most likely choose a bulky yarn. It's the perfect tote size with bulky weight yarn. My only mod was not doing the I-cord strands strap, because I was on a deadline, I didn't have the right size dpns for that heavy yarn, and I can't like I-cord (although I love how it looks)

I've found that I-Cord is a lot more 'fun' to do with the pointy tips Harmony DPN's. I don't have their nickel plated DPN's, but I'm sure they'd work even better.

And I must say, your variegated colorway (the pinks and lavs) was STUNNING for this Quinn Bag! It really caught my eye!

I am gonna do it! I'm gonna make a Quinn Bag using a Bulky Wt stash yarn, as you suggested, it makes a nice size TOTE! This summer, for sure! Now, where's my stash page over at Rav....dig, dig, dig!

You've inspired me! I've made BOOGAS for my DD and her two DD's...but never a tote or bag for myself! I've purchased patterns and handles and yarn, and all of it...but never did anything!

QUINN CABLED BAG on Ravelry! (http://www.ravelry.com/patterns/library/quinn-cabled-bag) Rav has the pattern, too! The PDF download link on the Rav page is the same as Renee so graciously supplied!

Ravelers may enjoy viewing the 103 Quinn Bags that other knitters have done! I'm hoping to read some notes about bulky yarn, etc. Modifications for the handles, etc.

Wow, you've definitely been busy! Everything looks fabulous!
