Has anyone knit a pattern from Val Love for Dovetail Designs? http://www.dovetaildesigns.com/index.html

I like the idea that most of the patterns are knit in one piece from the top down. However, I can't find these patterns at a LYS, but the patterns are available to order online. http://www.villagespinweave.com/IBS/SimpleCat/Shelf/ASP/Hierarchy/0M0205.html

Before I order, I'd like to hear from someone who has knit one of these patterns. Did you find the patterns easy to understand? Did you find many errors? Do the patterns have schematics? Etc. Any help is appreciated!

I will say that I, at one time, wanted to knit this and modify it and I wrote to her. She wrote right back and was very nice. She basically told me, the first time, that it would change the pattern too much and that I would have to figure it out myself. I wanted to make the sleeves shorter. She then must have thought again and sent me an e-mail with the help I needed. I would have knit it but the yarn I want to use is pretty expensive. Now that I have been knitting for longer I realize it would be a pretty easy modification but at the time it seemed impossible.

Anyway. That's what I know. I'd go for it, she really responded quickly and if I just had a question on the pattern she would have been really helpful, I'm sure.

Never heard of them. Clicked on your links, and thought the crowns were pretty cute. But, to me, $5 is too much for a single hat pattern.

Thanks, hartleystudio. It is encouragining that she responded to you so quickly. I am so tired of buying patterns with errors! Also, I want schematics. To me, it isn't a good pattern without one.
