Hi, I found a cute little hat pattern that I want to make for my first niece/nephew due this winter. However, I realized there's a mistake in it. The pattern is here (http://www.knittingonthenet.com/patterns/babyhatearflap.htm).
It works fine up to row 9, but if you knit row 9 the way it reads, you end up on a k2tog, not a k1. It's a stitch short. I'm not sure how or where to adjust it. What do I do?

Did you count the sts in the previous rows to make sure you didn't dec too many?

Honestly, in that situation I wouldn't worry about it. You're decreasing at the top of the hat, you only have one more row of decreases then you'll be running the yarn thru the remaining stitches and pulling it up tight to close up the hole. It's not going to be noticable that you were one stitch off.
