So I have started making a wool bath mat and I was wondering, if I knit it in a seed stitch or something patterned will it show up once it is felted? I am felting it because if I don't do it purposefully then it will do it anyway because of using type of wool that I am, and I would get very upset if it got "ruined" :D. Thanks!

After you felt it you won't see any of your stitches so don't bother with anything fancy. I hadn't thought of felting a bath mat but it does seem like a good idea!

Sometimes cables or bobbles can show a little, but it depends on how much you felt it. I'd go with garter stitch.
