This is Jewel from Custom Knits the book by Wendy Bernard. It was a very fast knit. the yarn is Ester Bitran Hand-Dyes Linares. It has a sheen to it.
I thought it was going to stripe like the waist section but I was wrong. But I think it came out ok.At least I hope so. I'm trying to branch out to other than solid yarns. LOL. Anyway give me your honest opinion please!!

I think it's gorgeous! I love how the colors pooled in a stripey effect!

I actually really like it! It's funky and got it's own personality that I really like! And believe me, I would tell you otherwise if I thought so since you asked for honesty!! I like the pink and gray stripes. I would wear it!

That's a great top, the yarn stripes and pools just right for your figure and the 'cut' of the pattern.

You've definitely got the figure for it and I really like the way the yarn worked out, gives it character!
Beautiful! And a great fit. I really like the striping effect at the waist -- looks as if you planned it!

it might have striped differently than you hope, but the way the stripes are accent your tiny waist!

I love it. the stripes and pooling all happen in exactly the right places. You could not have improved on that if you tried.

I simply LOVE the way the yarn 'striped' and 'zigged' and 'zagged'! I think it made the simple top VERY INTERSTING and like it was an 'on purpose' color design. I try to imagine it with the skinny stripes...and just don't think it would be half as WOW as it is now!
