Thats a bizarre way to learn anatomy..... I think I prefer books myself and plastic doctor models not a suit on my dad!LOL! I thought I was weird for wanting to knit a human heart!! LOL! I think the image is now burned in my brain!!!

I was sort of wondering about that, too. Gross! Sick! But you'd think folks would be afraid to post something like that in public for fear of having the kids taken away...and that they didn't think that, either....

I just have no words.

Maybe it's just me.....but I think it's pretty cool. I know it's obvious that someone has far too much time on their hands but I gotta think that who ever made those suits put a lot of thought into them and had a lot of fun making them. More power to her or him. And it's all about fun...right?

It's not just about the costumes, Claire. After all we've seen willie warmers, knitted boobs, etc. It's the manner in which they are displayed as well. It's just wrong. :zombie:

I totally agree! If it was some guy standing there in his nekkid suit with his stuff hanging out, ha ha, bit of a laugh and a who makes that. Heck if it was the man and women and she was holding his stuff, weird, but not nec. creepy.

But family photo with little girl holding said stuff, well...eew.

Maybe I just have really bad taste or something but I thought it was funny.

A bit creepy with the girl but it isn't real.

I don't know..I don't think it's photoshopped. I mean what's to photoshop? And even if it was it doesn't change anything. It's still in poor taste to have it displayed like that.

Anarfea, don't feel bad, I laughed too. My next thought was OMG how long did that take to knit and they must be sooooo HOT in those things.

She's an English artist who specializes in fiber arts. Anna Maltz. So no photoshop. But I wonder if the girl in the photo did that on her own, or if the photographer/artist suggested it. Or worse, does she play with her father's stuff in general and so it was a normal activity. I think the idea and art of doing it is great. I think the little girl holding her father's thang is hideous. That's a real family. There's another family who posed in Maltz's suits and she wanted them to go out to a public place and they refused. So it's not about the models and their morals, it's about Maltz. I've seen her interviewed and there's something about the way she talks that makes her sound crazy.

I don't find the suits HALF as disturbing as the child touching the man's penis. In an "adult" world the suits might have some entertainment value (I said MIGHT) but there is NO EXCUSE for involving children.

I thought it was some sort of weird hippy 70's sex education experiment gone wrong, like those hideously out of date videos they made us watch in school

On behalf of the English (yes I know I live in Ireland but am actually English) we are NOT all like that. Yes, it gets wet and cold, but most of us just put on coat. Just to be extra clear, we don't usually do that to our Dads either!

I just googles Anna Maltz, it's apparently "art"

To each his own I guess. I still say it's not the knitting or the nakedness it's the inappropriate way it's displayed.

If it were just adults I'd appreciate the artistic value, but the fact that there are children involved does disturb/offend me a bit.

yep..... other than the girl holding on "down there" being a bit disturbing, it's rather creative. Personally, I'd rather spend my time being creative in a more useful way, but to each his own I guess.
