Oh, I wish I could go to the Biltmore Estate again. Right now, they are displaying a GORGEOUS Flower Carpet, made of 100,000 plants on a quarter of an acre on the estate grounds.

If you get a chance, pull up the link I posted, and watch the video of them setting out the plants for the display. It's so cool watching it take shape!
I've been to Biltmore Estate several times over the years, and it never disappoints. Once, I took my boys when they were little. We saw lots of red and yellow tulips that year. Just gorgeous.

My Mom went to the Biltmore once with my Dad and never got over it. I swear, that was almost 20 years ago and I think she still misses the chocolates on her pillow. I wish I had the cash reserves to send her again, if not for her enjoyment, then to get her to stop talking about it all the time!!! hahaha!!
It's a beautiful link, thanks!

When I was pregnant with my daughter, my husband at the time got us season tickets to Biltmore. My doctor was in Asheville, NC and each visit we would stop by and try to see something different. After Emma was born, her doctor was also in Asheville and we continued to visit until our year pass was up. It is surely something everyone should try to see, as the grounds are astounding!

Yes. It is beautiful and amazing the planning and work that goes into their gardens every summer!

I live less than 1.5 hours from Asheville (now that the road is done!) and still have never been to the Biltmore! Thanks for sharing- we must go sometime!

how beautiful. I know there is a particular european city that has yearly festival with incredibly intricate carpet designs out of plants similar to this one...
I think it would be amazing to see them first hand!
