Just found an American Girl poncho http://majorknitter.typepad.com that my 6year old loved. I'm a semi beginner and never made a poncho.

Has anyone out there made this? I don't fully understand the directions. Do u start out with the circular's or dpn's?

You start out with the circular needles, but it looks like you're knitting flat at first. It's at the neck where the opening is.
