Pattern: Mirbeau Slip Stitch Blanket (http://www.naturallycaron.com/projects/mirbeau/mirbeau_1.html)
Needle: Size 6 Circulars (for length)
Yarn: Loops and Thread Baby Sport - yellow, green, pink, blue, white
This is my first baby blanket (that I completed). I love it. I made it for my next door neighbor. They just had a baby girl, but at the time I was knitting the blanket they didn't know the sex of the baby. Little Mari will be by muse for all baby things. I have yet to make booties....

That's beautiful! :yay:

The colorway is really pretty. And who says little girls have to have everything in pink? My grand daughters do, but that's because their Argentinean mother is a traditionalist.

Those colors are beautiful! I think its a wonderful color for a baby - it doesn't always need to be pink or blue anyway. It looks soft and snuggly for sure :)

That is so pretty, sure to become a favorite blankie!

Oh my my my - that is absolutely gorgeous!!! Nice presentation too! You're so brave - a blank on size 6?? The last time I did that, it took me like a year to make the dang thing. haha :chair:

It seemed like a year. Only because half way through I wanted to work on other items.
Yeah....size 6 was a um, eye opening experience. Must plan earlier.

Your baby blanket is beautiful!!! The colors are so pretty together. :inlove: :inlove: :inlove:
When I try this pattern I'm going to use less stitches and a larger needle, like a size 8 or 9. I make the blankets for charity so I try to keep the time involved as minimal as possible.
Thanks for sharing!

Ohhhhhh this is just toooo wonderful for words! Great work!
Thanks for sharing the link! I saved it, and saved the PDF, and am printing the PDF pattern as I'm typing these words. I will also save and print a photo of YOUR BLANKET, because it is the BEST ONE I've seen! Truly artistic in every way!

It's gorgeous! Love the colors you chose much more than the original pattern. I have to ask, though, how tedious it was weaving in all those ends ...

This is such a great pattern, I've been looking for something like this for awhile now, i'm so glad you posted this! And your blanket is beautiful! Great color combo!

Beautiful. Great color choice. Theirs looks drab compared to yours. Also, the next baby may be a boy. Your blanket can still be used.
Great job! Congrats!
Even when I know the gender of the baby, I try to buy non gender specific things. When I was having babies (2) it helped me many times.
I looked at your link & visualized using ww & sz US8 needles for a regular afghan.

Its lovely n cool ...gr8 colors matching

Weaving them in was okay..... I would knit rows and once I got tired, I would weave them in. However, If I had it to do over again I think I would carry them up the side.

THANK YOU!! Yes, if I knit this again I definitely will be using BIGGER needles. The blanket is really long too. So bigger needles definitely

That is stunning! Beautiful presentation too! I once started a baby blanket on size 6 needles.....and gave it up very quickly! I bow to you for completing it! :notworthy:
That's a gorgeous blanket!
If you carry the colors up the side, as you mentioned ...would you do something like single crochet along the edge to cover them up? Is the edge st stitch now?
