Well I finally got something done. I knitted this with cotton ease and it only took me a couple of nights. Very easy and the new mother was thrilled.

I knit in on size 7's and it was very small, definately newborn which worked out great for me. I will probably use bigger needles next time. I have seen this pattern several times so there may be another one that has sizes marked. There is another one on Knitting Pattern Central called 5-hour sweater that is similar.
