im looking for a pattern for a jumper/sweater knitted with double knit yarn.
the pattern i have is done in 4ply and is going to be too expensive. any links would be appreciated. i have searched the internet but nothing seems to fit the criteria.

You could use another yarn that's a similar weight, it doesn't have to be expensive yarn. But knitty.com has a lot of patterns for lightweight yarn. Look in their archives.
