The secret (if there is one)...how to NOT twist the yarn when knitting on a circular,(as for a hat). Even when I'm focused, and being careful,I end up w/a twist. It's usually after I join the two ends, and have knitted abit that I notice. All the knitting before that is fine. There's gotta be a better way than unraverling again and again. Appreciate your idea's.:aww: wholycow:wink:

There's a few tricks...
Put the needle on a table, a pillow or something so you can make sure all the sts are facing the same way, then join. And also check again at the end of the first round; that's also where they can twist.
Knit a row or two flat, then join, it's easier to see if they're twisted or not then.

I always make sure all of the cast on edge is on the inside of the circle with no twists or anything before I knit the first stitch. That works for me 99% of the time.

My technique is similar to Merigold's. I make sure the cast on edge is all on the bottom all the way around.
