I started this "Flannelghan (http://inspiredcrochetdesign.blogspot.com/2007/09/free-pattern-lumberjack-flannelghan.html)" for my Dad back in the fall. It's originally a crochet pattern but since I prefer to knit (especially with 2 strands) I played around with the gauge and did it in stockinette. I love the way it turned out but didn't enjoy making it - plus TONS of ends to weave in and then sewing the strips together. He loves it so that's really what matters ... but I won't be making another one! :)

I just finished this set last night for my 5 yo niece for her birthday. Love the way it turned out. I used James C Brett Marble Chunky and LOVE the yarn. It's acrylic so will wash and dry nicely plus it is SO soft! The scarf is the Misti Alpaca Ribs & Ruffles (http://www.mistialpaca.com/patterns/t/misti-chunky-ribs-ruffles-scarf/) pattern and the hat is a basic beanie pattern with a pom pom on top.

and last but not least is yet one more of my striped stash scarves.
