These look great. I love the collar (brown) on the sweater the woman is holding.

These sweaters are all unique!! They are one of kind!
It is a shame :???: :?? :?? :noway: :noway: :noway: and sin that these sweaters were allowed to be made in China and sold as 'authentic" Cowichan sweaters.

I totally agree. I'm sick of the Chinese ripoff. I want only an authentic one - or one I "rip off" myself. (It*is* different, isn't it?)

I have a MAJOR attraction to and obsession with organic/natural fibers. Nothing gets me more exciting than seeing these beautiful sweaters knit of entirely natural fibers in their natural colors (cream, brown, gray, etc.) I love that so much attention is being given to the beauty of the natural fibers themselves - by creating so much depth and dimension in a picture with so few colors. I also love that the motifs are typically of natural things as well (animals like moose, etc)

I just got Interweave's Knitting Traditions in the mail today and was pleased as punch to find "Anatomy of a Cowichan Sweater" inside. It makes the price of the magazine well worth it.

I totally agree, MoniDew. There is something just so beautiful about these natural colors and they way they are used by the Native Americans of Vancouver. Your buffalow and moose sweaters are beautiful too.
