View Full Version : Sewing a Lining into a Hat - Advice?

I have found a beautiful merino wool that I would like to knit a hat out of. Unfortunately, I am very sensitive to wool ... I can't wear it next to my skin without terrible itching, etc.

I had thought about possibly knitting the hat using the wool and then sewing a "lining" of sorts into the inside of the hat around where it would be touching forehead, ears, and so on. Has anyone ever done something like this? Is it doable, or would I be better off just picking a different yarn?

Any advice would be much appreciated! :muah:

This is for lining with polar fleece, but the technique is probably the same.
