I started this seven days ago; the baby shower was today at 2:00 p.m.

I did not budget my time properly, so this morning I was rushing to finish it. I will probably take a break from knitting (at least a week) to let my hands recover.

This is my first afghan ever and I really wanted it to be perfect (it's not) but when the mother-to-be unwrapped it, the mistakes didn't matter. I was just happy to have made something for her and her baby girl.

The pattern is Baby Afghan For Beginners (http://www.knitting-crochet.com/babafgforbeg.html). The yarn is Bernat Softee Baby in Baby Pink Marl.

I also love this & have printed it out for DD's partner. She wanted something simple but not boring. This is ideal.
