I am suppose to knit a sample for a class with worsted weight yarn on size 8 needles. Could I double up baby sport yarn to get the same weight? Thanks in advance. Maria

That should work out pretty well. Try it and see if you get the same stitch gauge as for the worsted. Some sport yarns are almost as thick as worsted.
