Hi there, this is my first knitting project ever. I decided to learn to knit so that I could make a pair of socks for my fiance's grandmother, Donna and I'm starting to guess that knitting a sock was perhaps not the best choice for a beginner project, but I'm enjoying it all the same. :) The pattern I'm using can be found here:

Sorry for the badly lit photo; I was going to get my nice camera and take a good close-up of it, but the cat was on me and in my house that means you can't move lest you disturb it. :) I'll post a better picture when I'm actually done. And thank you to everyone who's been helping me figure out how to knit in the how-to section of the forum; I really appreciate all the advice!!

Wow, I am impressed!! I didn't dare try socks for years (and I still have only one of a pair done!) Looking terrific!

THAT is your first project??? Girl, you are brave. My first "project" was a strip about 3 inches wide that I knitted, ripped out, and re-knitted over and over again because no one taught me how to bind off. I was 10 years old at the time,

I love that sock!

Lol, well I have to admit I've ripped this project a ridiculous number of times, but forging ahead!
