You mean like something you can glue or knit on to a hair clip?

yes, that is what I am looking for. My daughter makes them and we thought it might be cute to do some with knits.

If what you're doing is selling them then you should know that most patterns, including free ones, are not allowed to be made and sold for profit. In a search awhile back I did find 3 sites that do allow it so these are good places to start looking. I suggest put something in the search boxes on the pattern page like flowers or bows, etc.

"All patterns are free. All I ask is that you don't copy the patterns to sell or to post on other websites (without my permission). However, you may print out any of the patterns to use to make items for your own personal use or to make items to sell to others or to sell in craft shows or craft stores, through a home craft business, etc."

Jan,
We have a new baby girl in the house and she is getting lots of pretty clips handmade from her mommy and grandmommy.
Thanks,

Hi!
these are corchet, but maybe?

it is a matter of personal style, I guess.

If I would make a hair clip I might want to make one "bow tie" style. cast on some stitches, decrease on both ends, get to 3 or 5 stitches or so in the middle and increase again to the same size as the other side. maybe tie around the middle with a ribbon, or not.

you can use patterned knitting (cables, lace, structure...) or just plain.

you could also knit a triangular piece that it full of bobbles all over to look like grapes....

well, I guess, it needs to be the taste of the person wearing. I think knitted hairclips might become contraversial ;) But don't let that stop you!

Okay, I''m not sure if this is what you want. But I make hair scruchies in yarn. I cast on 30 stitches. Then work in the round with magic loop for about 3" & bind off. The stitches stretch crosswise, (and loose length lenghtwise.). So my holder is long & skinny. I twist over my finger till it is the right size for my ponytail. Then, loop my hair thru.
