Hey everyone - I'm teaching a six week (one class per week) pottery class for kids 9-12 again this fall. I'm needing some cool ideas for this class - we have done the usual stuff (mobiles, beginning throwing, castles - using slab and coils, masks...) Any ideas?
I'm thinking of using strips of clay for weaving - but what could the ending result be?

I'm not a pottery teacher, or even a pottery student, but... how about a little clay basket? :)

My daughter made the prettiest little pot that had a rose on the side. Somehow she made it out of clay - the petals and leaves - and attached it to the side of the pot. The pot itself is striped & then the rose is solid. It's so beautiful!

I tend to like add-ons like that, but great idea to make them more 'realistic' flowers!
Any one else!!??! HELP!!!
