My first hat

I am new to knitting and have been wanting to knit a hat Ihad the pattern but not the right size circs so I figured I'd try it any way and see what happend and to my surprise it worked it is for my niece (my son is the model) and I also made her a little purse to go with it I am so proud of myself I had to share. :happydance: [/img]

The hat stayed on his head for about 3 seconds total I have learned to be quick with the camera.

Awww he's adorable! That hat is so pretty! I haven't tried one with bulky yarn yet. I'll have to do so because it looks great!

I was very surprised at how it turned out I was really just messing around with it making sure I could follow the pattern and what not I used the bulky yarn because my circs were 8 inches to big and I was trying to see if it would help to my surprise it did .

now I am attempting my first sock and truth be told it is not going well :doh:

I didn't get a pic of the purse because my niece took it home the second I finished she is 2 and she was ready for a nap . Maybe I'll get one when she picks up her hat.
