Suri Dream throw

Has anybody made the Suri Dream alpaca yarn "Dreamy Throw" from Knit Picks?

It doesn't look hard--garter stitch on big, fat needles (just my style--quick and easy!!!), but when I knitted up a swatch, it was very airy, as I imagine it's supposed to be. My question is, is this really going to be warm, even though it's alpaca?

I have not made the throw you are looking at but it sure looks pretty in the picture. I just made the Clapotis in Superwash Merino sock yarn. It has lots of "holes" too but is surprisingly warm. I bet the throw will be quite cozy made with alpaca--my favorite!
