I am knitting a children's sweater for a five yr old boy, and my gauge is 20st by 30 rows. I am almost done the back, and no, of course, I didn't do a swatch!

The gauge on the patern is 22st and 28rows. Is this going to be a huge problem? (no pun intended!hee hee)

Let's see. For example, if your piece is 60sts across, at 20sts/4" that would measure at 12" across. 60sts at 22sts/4" would measure at 10.9" across. So with my example it makes over 1" difference.

At least it will be too big rather than too small!

That's what I was hoping! (If it was going to make a difference, I would rather it made it too big than too small)

Thanks!
