I finished this shawl just before Christmas. It measures just about 4'x4'.

I'm so dazzled and amazed by this workmanship. You must be so satisfied to look at the finished project. It's wonderful.

My lord, that must have taken you AGES... but well worth the time investment, it is absolutely beautiful. I haven't attempted anything that big with lacework yet, i keep thinking, man, that'll take me like 2 years to make!!!
Well done, big pats on the back for you! :cheering:

Thanks for all the lovely compliments!
This was a project I'd been wanting to try my hand at for a couple of years, but it wasn't until about May of last year (06) that I found a yarn I liked for it (Dale of Norway's Stork yarn). As intricate as it looks, it's really nowhere near as difficult to do as it looks, just a bit time consuming. I worked on it on and off for about six months.
Now, in reaction, I'm working on something mindless (meaning something I can do and watch tv at the same time without worrying about losing track of the pattern :)), a Harry Potter scarf, done in double knitting for extra warmth (and because I didn't have circular needles in the right size :D)
