These are the first socks where I finished the pair. (I had another pair of more slipper socks that I got bored with, and started these) I'm really proud of them because it took me forever and a million websites to get the hang of short rows with wraps.
I did them on US #7 DPN needles with worsted weight yarn (Caron Simply Soft).
I sort of made up the pattern. I just cast on 40 stitches, and used half to turn the heel and then half again to turn the toe.
They're a bit loose in the heel, but they're comfortable, and I'm hoping they'll conform a bit more as I wear them. Besides casting on less stitches, are there any ideas for making them snugger for future reference?

Those are cute! Fit snugger? Well...I would say choose a stretchier stitch pattern but it already looks like you used ribbing...You could drop down a needle size and see what happens....

Great job!!!! Cristy's idea of dropping down a needle size is the best bet to make them fit snugger.
Congrats! A *pair* of socks! That is an accomplishment that I'm very jealous of. I especially like the purple heels and toes (well, they look purple on my monitor).
Good job!

Great job!
My first socks were a bit baggy, but then I made the next pair with smaller needles, and they fit much better. Needle size can make a big difference in the width of a project.

My first pair was the same way - JUST a bit loose. I have learned that because I am a loose knitter - I often need to go down a size for other things, so why not for socks too!
They do look fabuloso!

They look really good, well done!
I need to learn to do socks too. You've inspired me.

I didn't know Caron made a verigated! Very nice :cheering: yeah you for making it up as you go. I love to knit that way.

I love the color! You did a great job I have not done a short row heel before and I thinks I may have to now.
