Ok, here's my Branching Out scarf. I found out that I cannot knit lace while doing anything else. I don't know how many rows I had to redo because I was talking or watching TV and not paying close enough attention! I used KP Alpaca Cloud. The color is peppermint. It actually looks a litte more pink than in the pic.
Thanks for looking!

That is so pretty - I love it! I agree about not talking while knitting lace. Actually, I do talk - but I talk to myself and say the stitches out loud as I knit. :teehee:

That is gorgeous! I absolutely love the yarn you chose!
I just finished this scarf a couple of weeks ago. I used the moss green yarn recommended in the pattern.
I just  how your yarn changed the look of it!!!
GREAT job!!!!

Your scarf is lovely! Don't worry; the more you knit lace, the more you will be able to multi-task such as breathing and knitting at the same time.

I noticed that you used Alpaca Cloud - I've bought 5 skeins in different colors but I just can't get it to look right in any lace pattern. I'd hate to just give up on it. I wanted to make a different scarf for each of the women in my family.
Do you mind if I ask what size needles you used? Did you use one strand or two?

That is BEAUTIFUL! It will be YEARS before I attempt something like that!

Julie S - I've only been knitting a year and a half. You just have to be willing to try new things!

Nahhhh ... we'll get you there in no time!! Do not fear the yarn! ;-)
That is really pretty, Robin. I have a skein of Shimmer (http://www.knitpicks.com/Shimmer_YD5420112.html) in Grape Hyacinth that might look nice in that pattern. Thanks for the inspiration!
To self: look away ... just LOOK away!! You have at least three other projects to finish. :tap:

Your scarf looks beautiful! It's encouraging to see - I'm in the middle of my Branching Out scarf. I had to rip it out to the beginning a bunch of times before I finally took the advice from many on this forum to put in a "lifeline" at every pattern repeat. It's saved me many, many times. (I'm not very good at "tinking" when there are things like ssk or k3tog!)

robin, the scarf is gorgeous!! :inlove: How did you like that yarn, is it soft and silky?
I'm working on Branching Out too, but mine is in a worsted silk yarn. I soooo hear you on the only doing one thing at a time with lace, hee. It's my first lace project and I was dumb enough to bring it to a SnB meeting once. Duh! I could either chat or knit, but not both
Really great job, it's beautiful!!

Brandilyne - The yarn is very soft, but it was hard getting used to knitting with yarn that thin. As for the pattern, it does take great concentration. Any time I tried to do anything else while working on it, I messed up.

I'm working on this one now myself (tried once before and kept getting distracted). I can't talk to anyone either - I get very snappy if I'm interrupted while I'm working on it.
Nice job :D.

:inlove: so pretty! and soo delicate looking.
It looks lovely! I know how you feel, I also had to frog back a few times when not paying enough attention, oops! I never did finish this scarf... hehe Perhaps you will be my inspiration to do more. Now I just need to find it somewhere in this house!
