I found this pattern in a book from the library. This is a collection of vintage patterns from Patton's yarns collection.
These patterns are newer more modern patterns of very old designs. This particular one was originally created in 1935!
I knitted this red sweater with dk yarn;
Amy Blatt 10 - 50 g skeins. 100 % merino wool on size 5 needles.
The buttons and yarn were purchased at the Bon Marche dept. store in Paris. I originally only purchased 9 skeins and had my sister go out back to the store and hunt up another 2 skeins of the same dye lot. Luckily she found them and brought them to me on her next visit. color: 84100 Orange (Vesuve appears on same tag, I don't know if this the name of the yarn) The yarn is soft but tiny bit rough and I find that I cannot wear this sweater directly on my skin. But I love the tailored shape and wear it over a small nylon t-shirt.
