Need help selecting a yarn

I need some help finding the right yarn for a scarf for my sister who has extremely sensitive skin. I am looking for a really soft, luxurious feeling yarn that isn't wool, cashmere or alpaca. I have gone to several local yarn shops, talked to the staff, and ended up buying some Berroco Touche - but I'm halfway through an IHS and it just isn't doing it for me... Anyone have any suggestions for something lush? TIA

What about bamboo yarn? That can be really, really soft. I think Michaels sells...a Bernat bamboo blend yarn that's really soft.
