Hi lovely knitters !
I just finished this pair of socks, using a beautiful skein of hand-dyed yarn that I acquired in a trade. The young lady, who dyed the yarn, goes by the name of 'RoryGilmore' here, in these forums, and sells her beautiful yarn on Etsy......... here (http://www.etsy.com/shop.php?user_id=5027635§ion_id=5047912) .
It's just a basic stockinette sock, with short row heels, knitted from the toe, up. I just replaced the center 20 stitches of the instep with
P2, K4, P2, K4, P2, K4, P2
and gave those 3 columns of K4 a right or left twist (cable) every 6th round. Then when I started back up the back of the heel, I replaced the center 8 stitches of it with
P2, K4, P2
and did the same type of cable all the way up the back of the leg.
