Stephanie (Yarn Harlot) had written about a wooden knitting needle where you slid the yarn back and forth. I think she made a scarf with it.
My computer crashed and I lost all my favorite places, this needle site being one of them. I'm not sure if the site was even in the United States.
If anyone know about this please let me know.
Thanks in advance.

You can do that with long dpns or circular needles. There's a couple patterns where you knit a row then slide the sts back to the other end of the needle and knit the next row with a different color.

I know exactly what you're talking about, but I can't remember what they were called, either. I'll google around and see what I can find.
